On 2 August 2026, the team from the Department of Supply Chain and Automation Engineering (SCA), Faculty of Engineering at the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP), visited AFESIP Cambodia for a meaningful book donation drive and community outreach day — sharing educational books, learning supplies, and heartwarming moments with an inspiring group of children.
Sharing the joy of reading and caring for our community
On 2 August 2026, members of the Department of Supply Chain and Automation Engineering (SCA) had the privilege of visiting AFESIP Cambodia, an organization dedicated to caring for, educating, and rehabilitating vulnerable children and young girls in Cambodia.
As part of the department's ongoing civic engagement initiative, the team brought along a substantial donation of reading books, educational storybooks, and essential learning materials. The goal was simple yet profound: to nurture curiosity, support literacy, and inspire each child to discover the boundless world that books can open up.
Beyond handing over boxes of books, the visit was about presence and connection. The SCA team spent memorable hours engaging directly with the children — listening to their stories, sharing laughter, and forming warm bonds that made the day truly unforgettable.
At the Faculty of Engineering, we believe technical training goes hand in hand with social awareness. Giving back through book donations helps build well-rounded engineers who understand the importance of empathy, community service, and youth empowerment.
