More than ever before, information systems and communication technology have been playing crucial roles in connecting people, enhancing their lives, and developing society in any country on the globe. Japan has enjoyed advanced information and communication technologies but needs more breakthroughs; Cambodia in recent years has witnessed a significant economic growth and there is an growing interest and necessity in advanced research and development in ICT. In other words, both countries are in need for innovative ideas and creative technologies for their further progresses and for the diversified demands of their respective societies. Research-based cooperation and collaboration between Japan and Cambodia in information systems and communication technology is expected to contribute to their needs as well as to more mutual business opportunities. The First Japan-Cambodia Joint Symposium on Information Systems and Communication Technologies will provide a unique forum to exchange ideas, discuss best practices, raise awareness, and share experiences for deepening mutual understanding and friendship among researchers and practitioners. We invite submissions of high quality papers describing fully developed results or on-going work.

3. Important Dates
- September 30, 2010: Submission of conference papers (full-length papers only)
- October 31, 2010 : Notification of acceptance of full-length papers
- November 1, 2010 : Submission of short papers
- November 15, 2010 : Notification of acceptance of short papers
- November 30, 2010 : Camera-Ready copy of all accepted papers due
- January 6-8, 2011 : Conference in Phnom Penh
