Google Event at RUPP

Google is joining forces with the Information and Technology Centre at RUPP to host a gathering of regional IT developers and disease surveillance and response networks IT users from Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia. The group, which includes Google engineers from USA, China, and Singapore, will explore emerging technologies to address emerging infections. Inspired by the concept of barcamps, the group will spend four days in an atmosphere of network building, idea and experience sharing, and finding creative solutions to real problems. The camp will be held at the CJCC centre at the Royal University of Phnom Penh on June 22-25th. Gcamp@RUPP will culminate in an evening of knowledge sharing, social and cultural exchange open to the NGO and health community in Phnom Penh.

Google@RUPP will include an overview of free Google products that can help organizations increase awareness, collaborate, and stay informed. Google volunteers from USA and SE Asia will provide an overview and demos of products and free services most often requested by NGOs and other community organizations and answer your questions.

Please register in advance to attend the June 25th event. Registration will remain open until capacity is reached. The overview of the Google products and free services is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. with the open house continuing until 6 p.m. The Gcamp@RUPP science and technology overview will begin for all attendees at 6 p.m. The event will conclude at 8 p.m. Light snacks and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided.
